In a nutshell
Contrary to popular belief, the concept of Social Intelligence is not about having social skills. It is “the exclusively human capacity to use our very large brains to effectively navigate and negotiate complex social relationships and environments”.
Social Neuroscience studies posit that rather than focusing on the human capacities within an individual’s ability to manage his/her own emotions and build positive relationships, we are now shifting to how we physically and mentally change, through interactions with others, and what transpires as we connect.
Social Intelligence has been recently shown to account for more than 85 per cent of star performance. This workshop will hold up a mirror on how we interact with others and how this affects and changes us.
Why?
- Because we are social beings and without social interactions we would have already been extinct as a species.
- Powerful social networks bring about success.
- Networks and partnerships give rise to strategic advantage.
- Because without network and partnerships that are cultivated the right way you battle alone.
- Because this is what makes us human after all.
